Miss McLeod’s in A single lesson

Back to A major for this popular cross-over tune. In Old Time circles this one is often called “Have You Seen the Devil, Uncle Joe?” and in Scottish sets it’s referred to as “Hop Light, Ladies.” The form is a version of question/answer. The A part asks a question 3 times and has 3 different answers, then the 4th phrase is new material. The B part has it’s own question that it asks 3 times, but we answer with the same 3 answers we used in the A part, and we borrow the 4th phrase from the A part to finish the tune off nice and neatly.

This lesson includes 7 videos: Intro, Demo, Learning the Tune, Tune run-through, Chords, Variations, Jam. Total lesson time is 42 minutes.
